Two Young Ladies Convert A VW T4 Into A Stunning Home on Wheels
It’s no secret that we love a VW Bus here at Van Clan (we all have our weaknesses). Luckily for us, our unhealthy obsession is also shared by a lot of Van Lifers around the world. Feast your eyes on tis rustic little VW T4 that has been lovingly converted by Clare & Franka @tintoptales, and brought to our screens by our good friends, the mysterious and all powerful Indie Projects (I hope they’re reading this).
Tin Top Tales Of A Self Converted VW Bus
Clare & Franka spotted a little blue and white bus on the beach and fell in love with it (we’ve all been there), and thats the moment that their self conversion dream started. They’ve done the conversion entirely by themselves and slotted everything into place to create a spectacular home from home.
Measure Twice, Cut Once
When you’re in the midst of your van build, it can be easy to get hot headed. Clare and Franka had to do their homework and do lots of calculations when putting their van together, and its paid off in more ways than one. Using the the most possible space and keeping your build as light as you can are two golden rules when doing your own self build, especially when using wood cladding and adding in storage.
I’ve been in their situation where everything’s going wrong, and you want to just down tools and go grab a pizza because life’s too short to be re-making the same set of drawers over and over again, but it’s all about perseverance and looking at the bigger picture. The quality of life that you can achieve from taking the plunge into Van Life is well worth the long nights working and the countless hours of planning, and at the end of the day its all a learning curve.
